Japanese?

I'm thinking whether I still need to study abroad or not.
When I make something like a chair, a bottle or whatever, I am always said: 'Objects you make are so Japanese'.
Is this a good thing? I don't know. I don't know.
Actually, People saying that means They are cool. However, I don't wanna be said so.
What is "Japanese"? I don't wanna make anything like "Japanese".
I'm gonna try to create something like more "Western" or something.

  1. Yeah, it well often happen. And it can't be helped.because if they said you are really "Japanese",it's no mean. then don't know either what is exactly "JAPANESE". just they don't know how to express about something cool things. Less vocabulary. that's it. Danke!

  2. Exactly!
On the other hand, one of my classmates from Hong Kong doesn't like my "Japanese" style. Recently, we made bottles or containers in two days. I made a very simple container for water because I didn't have much time. He told me that my container is very simple so it is not interesting. Actually, he made a complex and abstract one, so I said: 'who likes such a unusual bottle'. So annoying.
